Welcome to St Roch's School
Dear Parents,
I extend to you and your child a very warm
welcome to St. Roch’s School community. On joining our
school community, I trust your child’s school days with
us, and your own involvement with the school, will be happy
and enriching.
The time your child will spend in Primary Education is a most
significant period in your child's life and in the life of
your family. For children, education primarily occurs in the
home and this is particularly true of the spiritual growth
of your child.
The Catholic School, as part of St Roch’s Parish, supports
and complements the family in this development. Therefore,
the full benefit of the Catholic school occurs when you enable
the school, the family and parish to work in harmony to create
a true environment for faith development.
At St. Roch’s we seek to establish an understanding
of learning as a partnership, with the family and the school
sharing this responsibility. In the light of this, parents
are welcomed and encouraged to become actively involved, wherever
possible, in the educational, recreational and social activities
of the school.
At St Roch’s we are committed to the
development of the whole person and we strive to provide a
teaching/learning environment where positive attitudes towards
faith, life and learning are encouraged and developed. The
curriculum is designed to focus on the development of the
spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional and physical aspects
and so enable each child to reach her/his full potential.
St. Roch’s school has a splendid reputation,
which has been built up over many years. It is proud of its
Catholic traditions and dedicated to passing them on. It is
also very proud of wonderful results in every field of education.
The staff of St. Roch’s will work in partnership with
you in nurturing your child's development to maintain the
very best standards. We will guide, support and assist your
child in every possible way and take a genuine interest in
your child's welfare.
It is our sincere hope that all who are part
of St. Roch’s school community, clergy, parents, children
and staff, will work together in a climate of respect, support
and understanding of each other and thus provide a secure
environment in which each child will grow and prosper.
Yours sincerely,
Yvan Frederic
